Earn more. Retain more. Complete autonomy.

We believe experienced lawyers deserve to be remunerated for their expertise, their client network, and hard work, not constrained by firm politics, hidden targets, or complex bonus systems.

Keystone’s remuneration structure is simple, fair and transparent, and it’s a structure that lets our lawyers focus on what really matters: their clients. Keystone operates a ‘flat’ structure where our partners and senior lawyers are subject to the same remuneration arrangements and support, regardless of seniority or billing levels. There are no tiers, no hidden rules, and no politics.

Transparent renumeration by design

A fixed 15% client origination fee removes politics and promotes a genuine sense of equality and collaboration across the firm, a culture that truly sets Keystone apart.

Of the remaining fees, 60% goes to the lawyer who carries out the work, meaning that if the same lawyer both introduces the client and delivers the service, they retain 75% of their billings.

Keystone lawyers have complete control over their income and working life. They set their rates, choose their clients, and decide how, when, and where they work. Their headline rates range between £500 and £700 per hour, while those operating in regional markets set rates aligned with their client base.

As a self-employed consultant, our lawyers contract with Keystone through their service company, giving them full control of their tax affairs and the ability to structure their earnings efficiently.

The value behind the 25%

For the 25% service fee, Keystone provides a comprehensive suite of award-winning resources, infrastructure, and brand credibility that would be costly and time-consuming to maintain independently.
