Corporate/Commercial Paralegal – Training Contract (3-year track)

Salary: £42,000 (Year 1) (plus benefits)

Location: Central London

Working hours: Full time - Hybrid Working Available

Start date: ASAP

Keystone Law are looking for a driven Corporate / Commercial paralegal to join our central London office alongside our other paralegals and trainees.

The role will be varied and provide the opportunity to support the firm’s leading partners (eg Mario Jacovides, Ben Knowles) with a range of work to include working for a number of high-profile clients. This is a role with a difference in that:

  • It offers a pathway to qualification, and the firm has 100% retention of trainees on qualification
  • Even as a paralegal, you will have direct partner contact and the ability to undertake complex work and have direct client contact, if you are up to it
  • Keystone’s unique structure means you can influence your career from the get-go, shaping who you work with, the work that you do and how you do it
  • Keystone does not operate a seat rotation, a variety of work is on offer, but not required, you can be as focussed or as spread as you wish
  • You will have access to the latest AI tools, with an expectation that you use them, but safely

To be considered candidates must:

  • Have direct experience as a paralegal in corporate and or commercial law
  • Have passed their LPC or SQE part 1
  • Have strong people skills and be able to demonstrate them from the get-go
  • Have strong academics
  • Have an ability to think on their feet
  • Be keenly driven to succeed

The successful applicant will be partnered with a more senior paralegal who’s on the same pathway as you from day one and work in a team with other go-getting paralegals, trainees and recently qualified solicitors. That team as a whole is supported by a team manager and enjoys a wide range of training opportunities including:

  • Access to the Partners’ technical training sessions
  • Dedicated junior lawyer training sessions
  • Coaching (from an external coach)
  • Mentoring (from an internal Partner mentor)
  • Personal annual training budget
  • On the job training
  • SQE 2 exam support (where needed)

This role requires candidates with outstanding motivation, ambition, and strong interpersonal skills. Successful applicants will be adept at interacting with senior legal professionals, identifying any gaps in their own knowledge and plugging them in order to complete a task or build a relationship.

Keystone functions as a meritocratic organisation, providing candidates with opportunities to excel in a structured and supportive setting that encourages the pursuit of new challenges and achievement. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and intellectual development.
