Thomson Reuters has listed eight Keystone partners in its annual Stand-out Lawyers Guide. Andrea James, Andrew Darwin, Anna McKibbin, Jason Kallis, Jonathan Chibafa, Jonathan Riley, Nick Scott, and Robert Kenyon were all nominated by clients due to the exceptional standard of service they provided in their respective practice areas over the past 12 months.

The Thomson Reuters Stand-Out Lawyers Guide is compiled through the Sharplegal study, which surveys more than 2,000 senior legal buyers worldwide, each invited to nominate up to three lawyers who have distinguished themselves over the past 12 months.

Andrea James

Andrea is a noted expert in professional discipline and healthcare regulatory law. The main focus of her work is defending professionals at fitness to practise proceedings before their regulatory bodies, where her experience includes successfully defending doctors before the General Medical Council, dentists before the General Dental Council, paramedics and other allied health professionals before the Health & Care Professions Council, pharmacists before the General Pharmaceutical Council, teachers before the Teaching Regulation Agency, veterinary surgeons before the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and architects before the Architects Registration Board.

Andrew Darwin

Andrew advises on cases of all kinds involving property, including landlord and tenant and freehold-owner disputes, professional negligence against solicitors, architects and other building professionals, and insolvency disputes. Andrew also has extensive expertise in both non-contentious and contentious planning work.

Jason Kallis

Jason specialises in insurance, professional negligence (construction and medical professionals), construction, product liability, and property litigation. He acts for blue-chip construction and property companies, insurance companies and their insureds, high-net-worth individuals, retailers and estate managers.

Robert Kenyon

Jonathan Chibafa

Jonathan specialises in internal investigations, financial crime, ESG compliance and supply chain risk management, whilst also being a highly regarded anti-bribery and corruption risk expert.

He advises clients across a multitude of jurisdictions including the United Arab Emirates, China, Cambodia, Italy, Ukraine, Slovakia, Nigeria, South Africa, Vietnam, Poland, Kenya, Cameroon and Ivory Coast, designing risk control frameworks, conducting in-market compliance assessments and internal investigations, and advising on risk mitigation.

Commercial

Anna McKibbin

Anna is a commercial lawyer with over 25 years’ experience in the communications sector. She has particular expertise in subsea cables/digital infrastructure and is regularly instructed on sole build, consortium (capacity-based/open cables) and branch build projects. Her clients are based internationally and include submarine cable owners, network operators and cable consortia.

Jonathan Riley

Jonathan is a commercial lawyer who advises on a broad range of commercial law and commercial contracts matters. His work has a particular focus on project structuring, management and delivery, including shareholders’ agreements, JVs, partnering, collaborations, outsourcing and service agreements, supply contracts, management agreements, and terms of business.

He frequently advises on market channels including ‘direct to consumer’, agency, distribution, e-commerce, licensing, and sales and marketing, and related regulatory areas including data protection and consumer protection.

Nick Scott

Nick specialises in the resolution of complex commercial disputes often with a significant international element, representing clients in both High Court litigation and arbitration (LCIA, ICC, AAA, LME, WIPO) as well as in ADR processes including mediation and early neutral evaluation.

He often advises on crypto and blockchain disputes, shareholder, partnership and directors disputes, data protection issues, and sanctions.
