Keystone Law’s hospitality partner Alyona Antonenko has advised the owner of the Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa on the franchise arrangements with Marriott International, paving the way for the property to join the Tribute Portfolio, one of Marriott International’s growing collection brands. The transaction, completed in Q4 2024, culminated in the Hotel’s official reopening this month under the new brand.

Boasting a rich history dating back to 1327, the Grade II listed Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa is situated in 11 acres of picturesque Warwickshire parkland. Famed as the place where William Shakespeare penned the play ‘As You Like It,’ the hotel is a relaxing retreat of historical significance.

With over 150 hotels in nearly 30 countries and territories around the world, the Tribute Portfolio is a global collection of characterful, independent hotels, drawn together by their passion for captivating design and their drive to create vibrant social scenes for guests and locals alike. Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa, a Tribute Portfolio hotel is a shining example of this ethos, capturing the essence of character, individuality and charm.

Chairman of Bi Group, Shashank Bhagat commented:

“We were pleased to have Alyona Antonenko lead negotiations on our behalf for the Hotel’s franchise and related agreements to join the Marriott system. Her support with the management agreement with TROO Hospitality, acting as the operator, in parallel with the franchise arrangements with Marriott International, helped streamline the overall process. This is an exciting new chapter for the hotel, and we look forward to welcoming both our loyal and new guests to the renovated Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa, a Tribute Portfolio hotel.

Alyona Antonenko added:

“Working alongside Mr. Bhagat and the dedicated team at Marriott International to support this historically rich property’s transition into a recognised Tribute Portfolio has been a pleasure. Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa is a perfect fit for the brand and has seamlessly embraced its new status as a Tribute Portfolio property. I wish them every success in this exciting new venture.”
