Modern Slavery Act 2015

Businesses with a global turnover of more than £36 million are now required to publish a slavery and human trafficking statement on their website each financial year. This is a new obligation, which will apply to organisations whose financial year ends on or after 31 March 2016.

The Government has now published guidance on the Modern Slavery Act 2015, to assist businesses in determining what information to include in their statement.

Many large corporations are relying on their in-house compliance and regulatory advisers to advise on compliance with their obligations under the Act and so there is likely to be increased demand for candidates with specialist skills.
