Vicky is a life sciences lawyer who specialises in commercial intellectual property matters. She has over twenty years of experience drafting, negotiating and advising on agreements associated with the development, transfer and exploitation of technology, materials and data in the life sciences sector. Vicky’s expertise includes advising on collaboration agreements, research and development agreements, services agreements, assignment agreements, manufacturing agreements and patent and know-how licensing agreements.
Drawing upon her scientific background, Vicky works with her clients’ scientific and commercial teams, assisting with the development, protection and exploitation of their biotechnology inventions, materials and know-how. Vicky is familiar with the complex legal and commercial issues that arise in relation to cutting edge life sciences innovation such as antibodies, cell lines, cell therapies, gene therapies, gene sequencing and gene edited organisms, including in the context of their use as research tools, diagnostics and medicines. Her clients include individuals, research organisations and private and listed companies.
Vicky advises innovators (including scientists, research organisations and pharmaceutical and biotech companies) on agreements relating to their technology – including research and development agreements, collaboration agreements, services agreements (for example with contract research organisations), manufacturing agreements (for chemicals and biologicals) and patent and know-how licensing agreements.
