Alex is an experienced corporate lawyer specialising in international M&A, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, and related advisory work.

His clients include private equity funds, institutional investors, independent sponsors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.

In addition to his private capital experience, Alex’s corporate clients include companies in the technology, financial services, consumer products, telecommunications, education, healthcare, and life sciences industries.

Alex frequently acts on complex transactions, particularly those involving cross-border elements, tax-driven structures, or regulatory requirements.

Alex advises private equity firms and growth companies on strategic investments, bolt-on acquisitions, management incentive schemes, and exits. 

Experience

  • Acted for a mid-market private equity fund on its acquisition of a UK-based international digital marketing agency.   
  • Acted for a mid-market private equity fund on its acquisition of a British bread maker.  
  • Acted for a mid-market private equity firm on its acquisition of a HVAC systems manufacturer, in a complex carve-out from a German corporate. 

Alex is often engaged on complex domestic and cross-border private M&A transactions.  

Experience

  • Acted for 100+ early-stage investors and three exiting VC firms on the sale of customer experience software provider to a US corporate.  
  • Acted for a US private equity-backed sales and marketing company on its acquisition of a UK-based marketing data analytics business. 
  • Advised a listed private healthcare provider on the disposal of private oncology hospitals to a global competitor. 

Alex advises corporate clients on their shareholder arrangements, joint ventures and international contractual collaborations.   

Experience

  • Advised a UK-based water treatment technology company on its Chilean fundraising and subsequent Indian joint venture.  
  • Advised an infrastructure private equity fund on its long-term PPP projects joint venture with a French construction corporate.
