Peter is a commercial property partner specialising in renewable energy with a particular focus on solar PV, onshore wind, battery storage, electric vehicle charging, anaerobic digestion, and synchronous condensor projects. He advises landowners, developers and funders across the full project lifecycle, from heads of terms and site acquisition through to financing, development and disposal.
His practice spans a wide range of clean energy technologies, and he advises on power purchase agreements, easements and wayleaves, options, leases and agreements for lease. Peter also regularly undertakes property due diligence and supports energy clients on corporate transactions.
Peter acts for both large-scale developers and private landowners, including farmers and landed estate owners with extensive experience negotiating with energy companies such as EDF and Statkraft. He also supports clients on the deployment of commercial rooftop solar schemes and the development of ground source heatpump networks for housing developments.
Peter combines property law and energy expertise to deliver commercially sustainable energy infrastructure across a range of technologies.
