Oscar is a commercial and intellectual property associate, based in Central Office.

Oscar has experience advising on IP protection and exploitation. He has a focus on the gambling, media and technology sectors. He has experience managing trademark, copyright, passing off and domain name recovery proceedings, in both the UKIPO and High Court.

Oscar also helps clients navigate regulatory landscapes in specialist fields, such as gambling and gaming, advertising, packaging and data protection. Oscar advises on a range of commercial contracts, including advertising agreements, art consignment agreements, competition terms and IP licences.

Expertise

Oscar advises on IP and commercial disputes, including copyright, trade mark, passing off, domain name, and breach of confidence claims. He represents clients in the UKIPO and High Court.

Experience

  • Prosecuted trade mark opposition proceedings for a US cosmetics brand.
  • Advised a US beauty brand on enforcement action against unauthorised resellers, involving trade mark infringement, copyright infringement and passing off claims.
  • Defended a start-up against a trade mark opposition brought by a multinational investment bank.
