Keystone Law’s client Martin Keighley was, today, vindicated of any wrong-doing in respect of Any Currency, the horse he trains, having tested positive for triamcinolone acetonide after winning at the Cheltenham Festival.
Represented by Jacqueline Brown, Sports Lawyer for Keystone Law, Mr. Keighley faced the British Horseracing Authority disciplinary panel this morning. Whilst the panel ordered that the horse should be disqualified, in recognition of Mr Keighley’s innocence it also ruled that no fine should be paid by him.
Mr.Keighley commented:
“I’m delighted that the panel has vindicated my actions by deciding not to impose a fine against me. Naturally, still to be punished by losing the race, in these circumstances is difficult to take but we must now look forward to the next Festival and Any Currency’s next run where I and my team will be all the more determined to win.”
