Tesni is a solicitor specialising in public and regulatory law, with a background in crime and public policy. She advises a range of organisations and bodies on complex policy and legal issues, drawing on experience at the heart of government and in private practice. 

Tesni has worked on the development of major legislative reforms, including corporate criminal liability and fraud offences, and has played a key role in engagement with regulatory and prosecutorial bodies. 

Throughout her career, Tesni has gained broad commercial experience across litigation, corporate finance, employment, and regulatory matters.

Expertise

Tesni advises on competition and markets regulation, public and regulatory law, and legislative development, with expertise in cross-border advisory, compliance, and dispute resolution. 

Experience

  • Produced new policies and procedures for a UK company transporting goods from China to reduce the risk of modern slavery issues. 
  • Played a key role in the introduction of legislative change for fraud. 
  • Engaged with complex legislative issues in the criminal justice sphere, including close engagement with prosecutorial bodies, the police, and government departments. 

Tesni specialises in corporate crime and fraud, corporate governance, and compliance, advising on investigations, public law issues, and multi-stakeholder disputes across borders. 

Experience

  • Acted for a music group in respect of a Metropolitan Police investigation into gross negligence manslaughter and corporate manslaughter following the death of two customers and serious injuries. 
  • Advised a UK company in relation to private litigation brought against it including a successful application to set aside judgment.
