Rhiannon is a commercial lawyer primarily specialising in media law. She has developed her expertise while working in-house within several large media companies working on pre-publication content clearance, complaints and civil litigation, and contentious and non-contentious commercial work.
Rhiannon has experience drafting all types of publishing-related agreements, often on complex and bespoke commercial arrangements including licensing, film, TV agreements, brands, merchandising, advertising, contributor arrangements and software developments.
Rhiannon also advises on intellectual property matters relating to content including trademarks, copyright and exclusive licences.

- Advised specialist insurers on risk and pragmatic solutions to issues.
- Acted for the publisher client in Bowman v MGN Ltd [2010] and KC v MGN Ltd [2012] CA.
- Involved in lobbying for changes to the law of defamation, many of which were implemented in the Defamation Act 2013.
