Paul is a commercial property partner with over 30 years of sound legal experience across real estate, strategic land, development projects, landlord and tenant matters, investment property, secured lending, property portfolios, and renewable energy schemes.

He advises landowners, developers, investors, banks, private lenders, SIPP providers and individuals with SIPP and SSAS vehicles for their purchases and leases, franchisees, pharmacy operators, construction companies, and housing associations on acquisitions, disposals, leases, development structures, promotion agreements, options, conditional contracts, overage agreements, bank security work, and private and commercial lending.

Paul works with accountants on tax restructuring and portfolio management. He has also acted for farmers on the sale and purchase of land and agricultural property.

Paul is a Notary Public and provides notarial services including the validation of powers of attorney, company documentation, identification of directors and officers, and certification and legalisation of documents for use overseas.

His work also includes property portfolio management, solar and wider renewables projects, and business premises for franchise networks and pharmacies. He has acted for airports and real estate support for corporate teams, construction businesses, and registered providers.

Paul also advises on wayleaves and statutory agreements often associated with developments.

  • Advised on the setup a £15 million residential development scheme in the Midlands.
  • Advising on a £54 million promotion agreement to a major housing supplier
  • Acting on various residential and mixed use developments in Gloucestershire and the Midlands.
  • Advised on a conditional contract and promotion agreement with a national housing association including third-party and infrastructure agreements to secure planning on appeal and disposal for multiple landowners.
  • Advised and negotiated on statutory agreements with local authorities.
  • Acting for private and commercial lenders and banks on security work.

Paul advises landowners, developers, and promoters on strategic land transactions, including promotion agreements, option agreements, conditional contracts, overage arrangements, and disposals of land with development potential.

  • Acting for landowners and developers on disposals and acquisitions of land for development by promotion agreement, conditional contract, and option agreement across a range of schemes.

  • Acting for several SIPP providers on their commercial property portfolios, providing advice on acquisitions and disposals and property management.
  • Advising family-owned property companies on both commercial and residential portfolios, buying and selling of businesses such as hotels, public houses, caravan parks with values ranging from £100,000 to £4 million.
  • Acting for franchisees and pharmacy operators on leasehold premises, acquisitions, disposals, and portfolio management.
  • Advising on agreements for lease and associated documents for national suppliers and industrial estates.
  • Advised on agreements for lease and new leases conditional on planning and practical completion. Lease rents over £375 000 per annum with GDV of some sites over £9 million.
  • Acted for pubs and post offices in sales and disposals.
  • Advised on care home sales and purchases in excess of £2 million.
  • Acted for farmers in acquisition, disposal, and refinance of agricultural property.
  • Advised on national portfolios in excess of £50 million.
  • Advised ultra-high-net-worth clients on individual portfolios of over £500 million.

Paul advises banks, private lenders, borrowers, and investors on secured lending, refinancing, private and commercial lending, bank security work, and debt restructuring connected with property transactions.
