Lucy is a paralegal with experience in litigation, focusing on complex commercial disputes across sectors including banking, funds and private equity, insolvency, insurance, and international trade. Her experience also includes competition law, having assisted in several proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal.

She has also supported public inquiries, particularly involving policing, governance, and public accountability.

Lucy also has corporate experience drafting a wide range of legal documents, including commercial agreements, employment contracts, NDAs, and GDPR/privacy policies. She has assisted with transactions and is skilled in taking board minutes, drafting shareholder resolutions, preparing and submitting Companies House filings, and conducting Land Registry searches.

Lucy assists with a range of tasks, including drafting preliminary documents, collating supporting documentation, preparing and updating trial and counsel bundles, conducting research, proofreading, document review, and transactional support.

Lucy supports commercial disputes, assisting with case preparation for complex multi-party and cross-border matters.

Experience

  • Acted for a claimant against a Russian oligarch in a $200 million loan and guarantee dispute.
  • Assisted with an action for retail bondholders in a £18.7 million professional negligence claim against an insurance broker over a failed capital guarantee scheme.
  • Acted for the subsidiary of an international bank in a bondholder dispute concerning the acceleration of a €1 billion securitised loan, arising from the early redemption of securitised bonds following the loss of a tax regime.
  • Assisted in a high-value derivatives mis-selling claim, alleging an international bank misrepresented the nature of complex FX structured products, causing €8m in losses.

 

 

Lucy supports competition and EU regulatory matters, including disclosure, evidence review, legal research, stakeholder collaboration and settlement.

Experience

  • Acted in the Merchant Interchange Fee Umbrella Proceedings against Mastercard and Visa in the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT), leading to settlement for approximately 700 merchant claimants.
  • Supported collective proceedings against Google in the Ad Tech Collective Action before the CAT, with damages estimated at £13.6 billion.

Lucy supports regulatory investigations and misconduct proceedings for public bodies.

Experience

  • Represented the Metropolitan Police in misconduct proceedings against officers, including assistance with high-profile matters such as W80, Child A, and Commander Julian Bennett.
