Linda has over 30 years’ experience advising on all areas of VAT and indirect tax, and has particular expertise in financial services, insurance, fintech, e-money, real estate, and complex cross-border matters.
Her unique expertise includes significant senior in-house experience, as well as in private practice. She has led the VAT functions of a number of large banks and insurance companies.
Linda advises on VAT issues for a wide range of businesses of all sizes. Her clients have included banks, insurers, intermediaries, fund managers, fintech, gift card businesses, and property developers as well as other businesses.
Her practice spans VAT advisory and litigation work, including supporting clients on VAT aspects of structuring and intercompany arrangements, VAT issues in transactions, assessing VAT risks and any potential for optimisation, contract negotiation, and technical analysis, including in contentious matters.
Linda advises on complex VAT issues across a range of sectors, including real estate, charities, retail, and financial services.

Linda advises financial insurance and fund management businesses on all relevant VAT issues, including on the availability of exemption, the VAT treatment of transfer pricing arrangements, VAT recovery issues, transactions and sales of assets, and the optimal structuring of arrangements, including VAT grouping.
