Laura is a qualified Taxation Technician and member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), with over five years’ experience as a paralegal in probate and estate planning. She assists with all aspects of trust and estate planning and administration, supporting the team in preparing wills, trusts, and tax documentation – including estate and trust accounts – and handling all types of HMRC submissions.

Laura specialises in trust and estate tax. Her expertise combines technical tax knowledge with hands-on legal experience, allowing her to deliver solutions that ensure compliance and maximise tax efficiency for estates and trusts.

Laura supports clients and her team through every stage of the estate administration process, including preparing and submitting probate applications, gathering and valuing assets, liaising with beneficiaries and ensuring compliance with legal and tax requirements, drafting estate accounts, handling inheritance tax forms, and communicating with HMRC

Experience

Laura has extensive experience in trust administration, managing the day-to-day operations and compliance requirements of various types of trusts, including preparing trust accounts, drafting relevant documentation, and liaising with trustees and beneficiaries to ensure smooth communication and transparency. Laura handles all tax reporting and submissions to HMRC, keeps accurate records, and ensures that all legal and regulatory obligations are met including HMRC’s Trust Registration Service and Automatic Exchange of Information.

Experience

Laura is qualified to make personal Sel-Assessment tax returns as needed in connection with her core work. She regularly assists with 60-day Capital Gains Tax property returns, SDLT returns, and pre-death annual tax returns. She also deals with annual returns for attorneyship and deputyship clients as needed.
