Angela is a banking and finance solicitor who advises on a range of complex financing transactions such as structured finance, real estate finance, development finance, asset-based lending, working capital and corporate lending deals. She is also qualified in and has in-depth knowledge of Sharia law for businesses.
In addition to her finance work, Angela acts for businesses and individuals on all aspects of insolvency, restructuring, business recovery, liquidations and refinancing including prepacks and corporate restructurings outside of the Insolvency Act. Her clients include creditors such as banks and other stakeholders, insolvency office holders, and corporate debtors, other stakeholders and their directors.

Banking & Finance
- Acted for an offshore property holding group in the refinance of a euro 600m debt (to include senior, mezzanine, capex and loan notes debt) and then on syndication of the senior element of that debt 12 months later.
- Advised Santander Large Corporate on the advance of an acquisition finance facility to Zenith Hygiene plc.
- Advised on various investment and development matters for Oaknorth Bank Limited, Metro Bank plc and Aldermore Bank plc.
- Acted for Riverside Capital Limited in its £14m LMA-based facility from Lloyds Bank plc for the purchase of a property known as Old Street Works.
- Acted for a number of overseas banks investing into the UK or other international jurisdictions including various facilities granted by Afrasia Bank to Africa-domiciled corporate borrowers.
- Acted for UK foreign-based banks lending out of the UK to various international jurisdictions including Pubjab National Bank (International) Limited and Bank of India.
Restructuring & Insolvency
- Advised various stakeholders in relation to the proposed restructuring of a company or corporate group and its financial business affairs in the light of potential financial difficulties including shareholders.
- Advising on the restructuring of a large, complex property development group, with assets in the UK, Poland and Barbados.
- Advised, on behalf of the company, on the “work out” of a large international group.
- Advised the administrators and liquidators of two former financial services companies regulated by the FSA in relation to the company’s administration and liquidation.
- Advised in relation to the administration of a group operating residential care homes, dealing with the disposal of the business and assets.
- Advised an Icelandic bank in relation to the insolvency of the Icelandic holding company of a large retail investment group, including placing the holding company into administration in England and all issues arising thereafter in the administration.
- Advised numerous corporate clients in relation to the acquisition of the business and assets of companies operating in various business sectors out of administration, on a “pre-packaged” basis or otherwise.
- Advised in relation to the administration of a group operating residential care homes, dealing with the disposal of the business and assets.
