Oliver is a commercial property partner with 20 years’ experience.  He advises on a full range of commercial property matters.

Oliver’s work includes development projects, acquisitions, disposals, and refinancing. He also has expertise in acting for landlords and tenants on leases and general estate management.

Oliver’s clients include SMEs, developers, investors, and high-net-worth individuals.

In addition to his commercial practice, Oliver also advises on residential lease extensions and enfranchisement.

Oliver specialises in all aspects of commercial property, advising on acquisitions, disposals, and lettings.

Experience

  • Acquisition and subsequent disposal of multiple industrial units with deferred consideration.
  • Acts for a number of landlords with large portfolios from the initial letting to ongoing management of such sites.
  • Acting for a landowner in connection with the grant of a lease of land for access purposes to HS2.

Oliver advises developers and landowners on site acquisitions, infrastructure, and disposals.

  • Acting in relation to a number of small commercial and residential sites.
  • Advising on option agreements and sales to major housing developers.

Oliver has extensive expertise in property finance, including bridging loans and secured lending. He advises both lenders and borrowers.

  • Acting for a landowner in relation to the refinance of an industrial estate.
  • Acting on disposals on behalf of lenders and insolvency practitioners.

Oliver advises tenants and landlords on lease extensions and collective enfranchisement. He helps clients navigate the statutory process and related negotiations.

  • Acting for tenants and landlords in connection with formal and informal lease extensions.
  • Assisted the freeholder of a large development in numerous enfranchisements of part.
  • Exercised the Right to Manage on a number of developments on behalf of leaseholders.
  • Acted for a receiver of the sale of a multi-million pound mansion in Norfolk.
  • Advised on the set up and sale of a small development of flats in a Cotswold town.
  • Acts for numerous property investors on residential acquisitions at auction and subsequent sales after renovation.
  • Acted on the disposal of a substantial property portfolio over the course of 18 months.
