- Mr J

Laura is a family lawyer who advises on all aspects of relationship breakdown, covering both financial claims and children arrangements arising out of separation and divorce.

Her expertise includes complicated financial proceedings where there are trust assets and corporate issues like jointly owned companies. She also has experience of third-party interventions where the ownership of assets is disputed within divorce proceedings. She works closely with expert valuers and accountants.

Laura’s children and family work includes contested Children’s Act proceedings involving custody arrangements, cases involving social services, as well as domestic and international relocations. She also advises on obtaining occupation orders and non-molestation orders in Family Law Act proceedings. Laura works alongside family or child therapists, independent social workers and mediators.

Before moving into family and matrimonial law, Laura was a property litigator with over 10 years of experience. She uses this experience to advise clients on property disputes between cohabitees and family members as well as the protection of property rights following the breakdown of a relationship. Her litigation background means she’s experienced using mediation and other forms of ADR to resolve disputes out of court.
