Tatiana is an experienced family finance lawyer who specialises in advising individuals and families on complex financial matters, often with cross-border elements. She has particular expertise in financial remedy proceedings and has acted in cases of significant value and complexity.

Her work frequently involves coordinating with valuers, forensic accountants, tax advisers and overseas counsel. She has advised on matters involving luxury assets, trusts, and international property portfolios, and has experience tracing assets where there is suspicion they may be concealed.

Tatiana also assists clients seeking protection from controlling or abusive relationships, as well as those facing mental health challenges, approaching these matters with empathy and discretion.

Tatiana works closely with private clients and family offices to deliver tailored solutions. Fluent in Russian, she regularly advises international clients with global ties.

Expertise

Tatiana advises HNW and UHNW clients on divorce proceedings, including jurisdiction races, and applying for judicial separation prior to divorce in short marriages. She also specialises in financial remedies, including high-value settlements, enforcement, and Part III claims.

Experience

  • Secured favourable settlements for HNW clients through financial remedy proceedings involving trusts, offshore assets, business interests, and inherited wealth. 
  • Acted in TY v XA [2024] EWFC 96, the first reported case applying the new Potanina v Potanin test under Part III. 
  • Represented UHNW individuals in divorces involving asset portfolios exceeding £200m, with property, companies, and investments across multiple jurisdictions. 
  • Experienced in handling cases discreetly for high-profile clients, including those in the public eye. 
  • Worked closely with forensic accountants and valuers to identify, trace, and divide hidden or undervalued assets. 

Tatiana advises on cross-border disputes involving competing jurisdictions and international assets.
