Keystone Law’s aviation partner Suraya Tegally has been recognised in Airline Economics 40 under 40 Class of 2024. The prestigious guide lists the leading figures in the industry under 40 years old who have been nominated and endorsed by senior members of the aviation community.
Recognised by peers as a solid and effective lawyer, Suraya has also been praised for her deep understanding of the commercial realities of operating in the dynamic and highly reactive industry, with one colleague calling it her ‘superpower’.

During her time at Etihad Airways, she advised treasury and fleet planning teams on a range of corporate projects and both Islamic and unsecured financings. She has won numerous awards for her work including the Airline Economics 2019 Africa Debt Deal of the Year for Etihad’s first ADGM asset finance transaction.
With over 13 years of experience in the sector, she is a specialist in aviation asset finance and advises on a broad range of international asset financing and leasing transactions, including the financing, purchase and sale of aircraft, engines, helicopters, corporate jets, military aircraft and simulators.
