Keystone Law has advised Safegolf Ltd on its purchase of the Berkshire-based Winter Hill Golf Club. The club, owned by the John Lewis Partnership, will be taken over by registered charity Get Golfing, who will run it under a long-term lease.
Prior to the acquisition, the Club was set to close at the end of April but will now remain open under its new owners, saving multiple jobs an ensuring the cherished club can continue operating.
Keystone’s commercial property partner Dan Cowley led the legal team advising on the acquisition.
Nick Greenwood of Safegolf said:
“Winter Hill Golf Club is an exciting addition to the Safegolf portfolio, and we look forward to seeing the potential of the club under the new Get Golfing management. The legal advice and support provided by Dan Cowley made the acquisition run smoothly and under control at all times.”
Dan Cowley added:
“It is brilliant to have advised on this acquisition and I look forward to seeing how this partnership will develop Winter Hill Golf Club for its members.”
