Keystone Law Isle of Man (IOM) has celebrated its fifth anniversary since its successful launch in Douglas in March 2016.
Over the last five years, the firm has gone from strength to strength, expanding to a team of 13 highly experienced senior and market-leading lawyers. Keystone has built a reputation in the Isle of Man for superior service, supported by the firm’s seamless technology, unique structure and a commercially minded ethos which sets it apart.
Keystone Law’s status as a leading law firm in the industry continues to grow along with the size of its Isle of Man team, most recently welcoming litigation advocate Andrew Langan-Newton and commercial property advocate Vicci Laslett who have further strengthened Keystone’s practice areas. Clients continually turn to the firm for advice on complex and high-profile work in a range of areas, such as dispute resolution, corporate, real estate, commercial, banking, and pensions and trusts.
In 2018, Keystone Law IOM was named by The Legal 500, the prominent legal directory, as Offshore Law Firm of the Year. Most recently, the Keystone Law group was named Law Firm of the Year 2020 by The Lawyer, arguably the most prestigious award in the legal services industry.
Keystone Law IOM was also named as a leading offshore law firm in this year’s The Legal 500 directory, which is regarded by many as the most authoritative research guide for law firms, taking into account the feedback of clients and industry peers. The firm was praised for its ‘knowledgeable and responsive’ team who garnered tier 1 and tier 2 rankings for all of its practice areas and five of the firm’s advocates were recognised as ‘Leading Individuals’, highlighting the depth of expertise at the firm.
Geoff Kermeen, Managing Director of Keystone Law IOM, said:
“When we launched in the Isle of Man in 2016, we wanted to challenge the limitations of the traditional law firm model in order to attract some of the best lawyers in the jurisdiction and provide an unmatched service to clients. Thanks to our dedicated team of lawyers and the unwavering support of our clients, I’m delighted that we have achieved that aim and look forward to continuing to grow the Keystone team.
“Post-pandemic, the Isle of Man can confidently state its case as a location where excellent business professionals are able to thrive, with quality work and a quality lifestyle, and Keystone has a unique platform to facilitate that in a flexible, modern and well-supported environment.”
To mark the firm’s fifth anniversary, Keystone will be giving back to the community which has supported it since its launch and recognise those who have gone above and beyond to help others.
As a thank-you to key workers and the Isle of Man’s strong community of volunteers, the firm will be giving away gifts from local businesses to selected people who have been nominated for their dedication, incredible acts of kindness or those who have made a difference. Gifts include a £120 Wine Down voucher, sparking wine afternoon tea at The Tea Junction, cocktail vouchers at Bar George, and a family hamper with 3 months’ supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and goodies, to name but a few.
Nominations for Community Champions are now closed. Thank you to all those who nominated.
