Sally is an experienced commercial property solicitor who acts for retail, leisure and institutional clients with large property portfolios, and residential developers. She is an expert in sales and acquisitions, development work, general property management, landlord and tenant matters, and portfolio management. In particular, Sally has advised on some large-scale restructuring projects and disposals and some large sites for residential development and onward sales.

Sally advises clients across sectors on acquisitions, disposals, development agreements, and portfolio restructurings involving retail, industrial, residential, and hospitality assets, including complex site assemblies, promotions, and overage arrangements.

Experience

  • Advised a hospitality client on a restructuring exercise involving the transfer of over 400 properties.
  • Advised an international energy and petroleum company on the disposal of 176 properties.
  • Advised a retail client on the portfolio purchase of 13 retail park sites.
  • Advised on the acquisition of a £54 million building for redevelopment in London.
  • Advised on the purchase of several multi-let industrial sites from an institutional investor.
  • Advised on the grant of long leases and development agreements for the construction and onward sale of industrial units on the site.
  • Advised on the purchase of several large residential sites for a national house builder and several SMEs and smaller developers from site acquisition, site assembly to the onward sale of plots.
  • Advised on several promotion agreements of residential sites.
  • Advised on the grant of options.
  • Advised on several overage agreements.
  • Provided advice on various commercial property aspects to closed-end investment company the acquisition of a stake in the shareholding of the flexible office provider and exercise property due diligence on the 8 sites.
  • Provided advice on various commercial property aspects to client in relation to the development and expansion of an Industrial estate in the North West of England.

Sally acts on residential property transactions including high-value London homes, leasehold flats, new builds, and plot sales, acting for both buyers and sellers across the UK.
