Keystone employs a team of trainees and paralegals, known as the Central Office Lawyers, and, in addition, some of our lawyers choose to recruit their own paralegals and trainees, employing them through their personal service company. All trainees and paralegals, whether employed by a lawyer or by Keystone, are valuable members of the firm, and benefit from the many opportunities that come with being a part of it.

WHY IS KEYSTONE A GREAT FIRM TO JOIN?

Keystone has an excellent reputation

Keystone is a Top 100, full-service law firm with over 400 partners and senior consultant solicitors. The Lawyer awarded Keystone ‘Law Firm of the Year 2020’ and RollOnFriday awarded us ‘Firm of the Year 2021’. Our lawyers are ranked in Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500 year after year.

Work closely with experts and undertake challenging work

Keystone’s partners and consultants are experts in their fields, having spent years at leading law firms before joining the firm. This means that Keystone’s trainees and paralegals are working with, and learning from, market-leading specialists. They also receive a high level of responsibility, direct client contact and the opportunity to work on technically challenging matters from an early stage in their career.

Career development

Our trainees and paralegals have access to our in-house training academy, with monthly training sessions on legal topics and soft-skills training. They are also invited to our monthly CPD sessions, can request additional individual training and have a dedicated mentor.

Location

Keystone’s technology enables our senior lawyers to work from any location, and often junior positions may require the person to be based at their chosen office to benefit from increased interaction, although remote working is also possible.

Many of our trainees and paralegals work from Keystone’s offices on Chancery Lane, surrounded by others at the same level and enjoying a friendly, supportive, and sociable environment.

Keystone’s unique culture

All Keystone trainees and paralegals receive a warm welcome to the firm and are encouraged to join in the many social events held throughout the year. They are part of a collegiate and friendly law firm where every effort is made to make everyone feel included.

Facilities and support

Our enthusiastic and efficient Central Office team provide ongoing support and assistance, including having access to our bespoke IT platform ‘Keyed-In’. Read more about our Central Office teams here.
