Whilst we’ve since been told we can no longer enter the survey (probably due to our consistently stellar feedback), the reason we score so highly is simple: Keystone has a culture built on trust, independence, and genuine care. Collaboration is fundamental to our approach. From day 1, we actively facilitate and help new lawyers to make connections that will support and grow their practice. As a result, our lawyers know each other better than they would in most traditional firms and work together in agile teams with complementary expertise. Knowledge is shared freely and cross-referral is ingrained in how we operate. As a result, over 30% of our annual revenue comes from internally referred work.

Management Team
Keystone Law is led by a professional, award-winning management team, enabling our lawyers to stay focused on what they do best: delivering exceptional legal services and building lasting client relationships. Every director is an SRA-approved partner, ensuring governance that is both expert and aligned with our values.
James Knight
Chief Executive Officer
James qualified as a solicitor in 1992 with City firm, Trowers and Hamlins. He practised as a commercial lawyer in Oman, Dubai and Hong Kong before returning to England in 1999. In 2000, James started his own legal consultancy helping small to medium sized companies receive a level of service and value that was unobtainable through conventional law firms.
William Robins
Director of Operations and Compliance
William is a director of the firm and leads Keystone’s Operations and Compliance Team. His primary focus is the compliant and efficient running of the firm. William is a lawyer by training and practised in the field of public and private M&A in large City firms. He left private practice in 2009 to focus on law firm management. He is an expert in the legal and regulatory matters pertaining to law firms, and he writes and speaks on that subject regularly.
Kristina Oliver
Director of Marketing and Business Development
Kristina joined Keystone in July 2013 from City law firm Fox Williams. With over 25 years’ experience 22 of which have been gained in the legal sector, Kristina brings a wealth of expertise in traditional marketing methods to the firm in addition to advanced digital marketing techniques.
Ashley Miller
Director of Finance
Ashley joined Keystone in January 2015. He is responsible for managing the financial performance of the firm, ensuring that as the business grows, appropriate control of financial management remains front and centre, alongside the continual delivery of a high-quality and compliant service.
Maurice Tunney
Director of Technology and Innovation
Maurice joined Keystone in October 2014 to drive forward the ongoing investment into technology at Keystone that enables the firm to work effectively and collaboratively from any location. Prior to joining Keystone Maurice was responsible for developing the IT strategy and managing the portfolio of IT projects at Fieldfisher.
Mark Machray
Director of Growth and Development
Mark joined Keystone Law in 2010, having practised in the West End for 10 years as a corporate lawyer. In October 2012 Mark became part of the Operational Team and is responsible for the firm’s recruitment of lawyers.
Fiona Severs
Director of Community & Engagement
Fiona practiced corporate law with Herbert Smith before a sideways move into business development, CSR and coaching. Fiona works closely with the firm’s lawyers to promote referrals, our culture and a real sense of belonging.
